As some of you may know, I am SEVERELY obsessed with Harry Styles. This week, pictures and videos of him were released showing that he was in Italy. In one particular video, you see him running up a hill chasing a car with what looks like a camera in the backseat. In the background of the video, you can clearly hear the first song on his 2nd album, Golden. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s an amazing song and I love it. But personally, I think it’s overrated and I just don’t understand the hype people give it. Anyways back to the point, many people think the reason he’s there is to film a music video for this song; people have also been thinking it’ll be the next single after Watermelon Sugar because they’ve been hearing it on the radio and it’s been getting a lot of attention lately. This is all very exciting! I remember when the Watermelon Sugar video came out right after I had started to become a fan of him. There were so many pictures released, he was active on social media, merch was released, there was so much going on and it was so fun! Unfortunately, though, Watermelon Sugar was filmed many months before it was released; people had seen leaked pictures long before we’d gotten the video. It could also be a Two Ghosts situation. If you don’t know, on his 1st album from 3-4 years ago, he has a song called Two Ghosts, and pictures from that video were leaked, but the video has yet to be released and probably never will be. I’m like 90% sure he wanted the video to be a surprise and it kinda makes me sad that we all know about it now and won’t be shocked when the video finally comes out. Now that I know it’s happening, my impatient self can’t wait to see the video and now I’ll just be sitting around for months waiting to watch Harry run in slomo singing “You’re so golden. Do do do do, do do do do do” What do you think about Golden, and are you excited for the music video?
Hi Ellie, I too love Harry, definitely not as much a you do but, I really love his music. Although Golden is not my favorite of his songs, I have to say I am exited for the Golden music video to come out.
ReplyDeletePersonally, Golden is one of my top 5 favorite songs on Fine Line. I think most people are obsessed with it because the potential Larry connection which irritates me, as you know. The line that says "I know that your scared because I'm so open" means so much. I feel like it is him singing about his past self while he was under the 1D contract and now he is open. Everyone interprets it differently, but Golden is so upbeat and gets better the more you listen to it. I CANNOT wait until the music video(if it even ever comes out), but I am also upset that we found out this way. He probably wanted it to be a secret, but oh well. I wish people would respect his privacy and we will find out what he's doing when he tells us. Maybe hes writing a new album in Italy(I hope).
ReplyDeleteI am not really a Harry Styles fan, so in my opinion, Golden isn't really something I enjoy listening to, nor am I looking forward to the music video for it. I hear some of his other songs on the radio a lot though like his song Watermelon Sugar.
