Maya Melamed 3- Get Out movie review

I recently watched the movie
Get Out and it was one of the best movies I've ever watched. This movie came out in 2017 but I only recently watched it. I'm not even a movie person and didn't even want to watch it, but I was very happy I did. This movie is about an interracial couple who go to meet the girlfriend's parents. At first, Chris (the boyfriend), thinks the parents are acting strange because they have a hard time accepting that he's black, but later on finds out what's really going on. He spends the weekend there and as the days go by, he realizes more things about what's really going on. Rose’s (the girlfriend) family manipulates and tricks him the whole time, they even tricked me. This movie keeps you interested the whole time and just makes you want to keep watching to find out what's going to happen next. The ending was so crazy and definitely was not what I expected or could have even imagined. Throughout the movie, they drop so many hints that lead up to the ending, but you only realize after. At the end of the movie I was like “ oh that's why they___” or “oh that's why this happened.” After watching it I wanted to watch it again because then I would realize all the hints I missed the first time. I wish I could go into detail, but I don't want to spoil anything. I definitely recommend this movie to everyone because I really enjoyed it and always stayed interested even though I'm not a movie type of person.
Here is a link to the trailer.

Are you a movie person?

  1. Hi Maya! Wow, I've never heard of this movie before, but it sounds really interesting. I definitely want to watch this at some point. To answer your question, I would for sure say that I'm a movie person. I love watching movies, especially on the weekends with my family! My favorite movies to watch are old Disney movies. They always make me happy and have great themes. :)

  2. I am a HUGE movie person, and this movie was amazing. Super creepy and disturbing, and definitely surprising, but I really enjoyed it!! I'm glad you liked it too, despite not generally enjoying movies.
