Diana #4 - My Calming Technique

 




Welcome back guys!  Have you ever had that one TV show that you could just watch over and over again? Well, Friends is definitely that show for me. Friends has about 10 seasons and 20 episodes per season, and I have probably watched the whole series 7 times. Usually, I am not the type of person to watch something so many times, but for Friends, it's a whole other story. I don't know what it is about the show that I love so much, but it's just the perfect balance between funny, romantic, sad, and basically just has all the components. Friends is like my version of a pacifier. All my life I have had anxiety, whether it's because of thunderstorms, my breathing, or other little things and Friends never lets me down when I'm in that state. I also watch it every night before I go to bed, and it has the same effect, it puts me right to sleep. Lastly, I watch Friends when I have headaches. Unfortunately, I am headache prone, and although it doesn't work like Tylenol, Friends does the job in keeping me calm. Also after watching Friends on repeat, surprisingly, I still laugh at all the jokes. I guess you could say that Friends is a comfort show for me. Watching a tv show probably isn't the best way to solve all your problems, but it somehow works for me. Let me know in the comments if you have a method that you can always resort to like I do?   1. Hi Diana, I think its great that you have found a method that works for you. My favorite show that I can watch over and over is Keeping up With the Kardashians. Sometimes watching it will help me with anxiety,but not all the time.
