My experience at CycleBar

Romi Avidor 9/2/20 Week 1 Hello to everyone reading my blog! I finally did something with my life. After a long summer of relaxing and doing nothing; I decided it was time to get back on the grind. I tried something new. I personally despise working out and going to the gym, but I know that it is important to stay active in any way. I have tried many things before such as kickboxing and hot yoga. I personally liked the kickboxing, but I stopped because summer was starting and I wasn’t going to be home. The hot yoga on the other hand was not really for me. I found it pretty boring and it didn’t motivate me to get up and do it. Today, I went to a place called CycleBar. At CycleBar, you have an instructor in the front of the class basically showing what you can do and telling you the power you should be at. I loved it. There was loud music in the background, the lights were dimmed, and there were TVs to show your progress but to also see the music videos. One thing I loved, was that no one judged you or looked at you weirdly if you took a water break. I felt comfortable and as a beginner didn’t feel like the odd one out at all. You can go at your own pace and do whatever you feel comfortable doing. There was even a girl in front of me that brought in her phone and was on it the whole time. She didn’t go along with the class; she just cycled. I went with my sister, but to be honest we were very nervous prior to the class. We were so scared that we weren’t going to be good, or that we would hate it. We both loved it and are now planning our next ride there. It was so fun and lively. I know many people are nervous to go out of their house during this time, but it was a very safe environment. The bikes were 6 ft away from each other, or you had one empty bike in between you and the other person. Also, there are wipes to clean your bike if you want before and after the class. I would highly recommend this to people who want to get their exercise in a different but good and effective way. When we came out of the class we were sweating like pigs, but of course it felt so good knowing you actually did something. I am now trying to get friends to come with me and do it as a consistent thing. I am so happy I tried this and feel so good that I did it. I can’t wait to see how sore I will be tomorrow. Lastly, if you want to comment back to my review and let me know if you would like to join me that would be great! Thanks for reading this. Would you try cycling? Here is their website if you would like to check it out - https://www.cyclebar.com

  1. I agree that cycling is a very good workout! I like to ride the peloton in my house a lot. It is a hard but engaging workout. It is very flexible because you can either push really hard or take it easy depending on your mood! I think cycling in a class setting would also be fun.

  2. You inspired me to go to cycle bar with you, and we can motivate eachother. It's so hard to get myself to work out consistently when I'm just sitting at home all day. We will go to a class together, and it will be a fun way to stay active and healthy.
