Public vs Private school, Week 3

Week 3, Public to Private School, Aly StraussPrivate School vs Public School - How Do The Students Compare? - YouTube

I’ve been in public school forever and this year is my first year in a private school. So, far they are so different.

Private school is so different compared to public school. In a private school, you basically know everybody, and everyone’s more intelligent than students in public schools. I’m not really talking about literal intelligence, I’m talking about creative intelligence. Students in private school are more engaging than public school students. The amount of students in a public school is giant. It’s so chaotic and the student’s aren’t that nice. The amount of students in a private school though is perfect. There aren’t too many students and there aren’t too little students. The teachers in private school are also more helpful. In a public school, it’s so hard to get in contact with a teacher individually. In private school, the teachers actually care about each student’s grades. Scenery in private schools is also amazing. Everything Looks clean and the campus is a lot smaller, which in my opinion is way more efficient than a giant public school.

What I’m trying to say is that private is so much better than public school. Everyones nicer, it’s a better and cleaner environment, and everyone’s so nice. I highly recommend switching to a private school.

  1. Hi Aly! I can't completely relate to what you are saying because I have been going to private school my entire life. I have seen how big public schools are, and I am very happy that I have the opportunity to go to one, especially one this small and tight knit. You also mentioned the environment of the schools, which I have to somewhat disagree. While Donna Klein has a very positive and uplifting environment, I know some private schools which are so competitive within the school, and very stressful for students.

  2. Having taught at both Public and Private, I definitely prefer private school. That being said, the caring teachers are at both, it is just a matter of finding time to reach out. Even when I had 160 students in a day, if a kid reached out to me, I would always make the time to get back to them and help out. In general, though, private school is smaller and therefore better able to meet students' needs.
