Romy H 1 Dream Places to Live

I’ve always loved traveling since I was little. I am fortunate enough to have been able to travel as much as I have with my family. Seeing the world makes me so excited and I can’t wait to visit even more places in the future. Speaking about my future, I want to live in so many different places when I am older. I just want to live in each place for a short amount of time, so I get to experience the culture and environment. There are quite a few places I have in mind, so I thought I would share them and explain why I would want to live there. First, I would want to live in the mountains of Colorado. This is very realistic, and I could definitely see myself moving there shortly after college, depending on what job I’ll have. It is so beautiful, and there are so many activities to do outside. I would hike, canoe, paddleboard, and explore whenever I wanted, and I would meet super down to earth, chill, people. Next, I would love to live somewhere in rural England, but close-ish to London. Would I live in Redditch England? Probably. Is it just because that’s where Harry Styles is from? Maybe. But I would live in so many towns in England: maybe Cambridge or just in London. Anyways, no matter where I end up, I could see my self working in a cafe or restaurant and painting in my free time. Hopefully, I’ll catch onto the accent too… but that’s just a bonus. The scenery and environment in England are so calming. My family used to live there, and I loved it when I visited. Also, I would love to meet my husband while I’m living in England, but that just another bonus. Next, I want to live in Israel at some point. I would improve my Hebrew, be able to visit the family I have there, and just have fun exploring. Israel is just so vibey and fun. Also, I say that I would want to live in New York City, but honestly, I don’t think I would because its either freezing cold or boiling hot, and it can be extremely lonely. Lastly, I would sort of want to live in South Africa at some point. This place is probably the most unrealistic one, but if I really wanted to, I could make it happen. The only reason I wouldn’t go is because of how dangerous it is there. I would love to live in the country where all my family grew up because visiting as a tourist just isn’t the same. Maybe I would meet my husband there… but that’s beside the point. Quarantine has made me think a lot about my future, and this is just one of the ongoing and unrealistic life plans that I have in the back of my mind. Where would you want to live when you grow up?

  1. I would also like to live in Redditch or maybe even Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles lived in Holmes Chapel right before he got famous and I feel like he has more of a connection to it. We'd be connected somehow, and then he'd fall in love with me. Also, I agree about New York. I hate it so much: it's dirty, usually unsafe, and people romanticize it way too much.

  2. All of these places sound really nice. Especially after being locked down in our homes for months and not traveling. Unlike a lot of people, I actually really love Florida and feel very fortunate to have grown up here. I think that it is a great place to raise kids and eventually have a family. Although, if i'm not living in Florida, i'd 100% want to move to Israel.

  3. I love all the different options to live, but in my opinion I think England is for you. You get to live near harry, and pick up a sick accent. I just think England is the one. To answer your question, I would want to live in England with you, and we will live across the street from each other. Also I was very let down when you said "unrealistic life plans" because I really feel that these could come true. #anythingcanhappen

  4. I feel the exact same way. I love traveling as well and one day hope to travel the world. When I went to London, I absolutely loved it. I can definitely see myself doing a semester abroad there. Also, I love Israel obviously. I have been thinking about going to college there a lot. If I could live anywhere I really do not know. I would like to live in different places for short periods. Maybe we can do a gap year and travel the world together!

  5. I think that all of the options that you give are great. I have never been to most of those places, so I would want to travel all over as well. Where I would want to possibly live when I grow up is in Philadelphia. I love all of their sports teams and enjoy their famous variety fo food, so it would be really cool in my opinion if I went and lived there.

  6. Romy this is an awesome idea to write about. I also like the places you said and I agree with you. Maybe I'll try writing about the same thing next time.

  7. I have also thought about where I want to live. I think I want to live on a farm when I am older and grow my own food, but I'm not sure if that is realistic.
