Borat 2 Review - Dan week8

For those of you that don't know, Borat 2 came out last Friday, and boy was it a rollercoaster of emotions. As if having one Borat movie out in the world wasn't enough, Sacha Baron Cohen decided it was time for a sequel after nearly 14 years of the release of the original movie. I won't spoil anything because I know a lot of people will want to see it, but calling it "eventful" would be criminally understating it. There are so many outrageous stunts by Borat, all in public and around people he's never seen before. Unlike in Borat 1 where Borat travels with his handy friend and assistant, in Borat 2 he travels to America with his daughter, and together they learn about the ways of the Americans. From racist rednecks to fancy ballroom dancing, Borat doesn't skip a beat from his original movie in 2006 and keeps making viewers cringe and cry and laugh and smile and frown and every other verb you can think of. No matter what type of movies or actors or genres you like, I think both Borat 1 and 2 are essential for the human race to continue functioning.

If you already watched Borat 2, what did you think of it? Did it live up to your expectations?

  1. Hey Dan!
Lately, my cousins and other friends from DKJA have been telling me to watch this movie, but I still haven't had the chance to sit down and watch it. Your blog really convinced me, so I guess I'm gonna watch it tonight and hopefully the human race will continue to function by then.

  2. Hi Dan, I have not seen Borat 2, but I watched the first one not that long ago. I personally did not like the movie because it doesn't contain the type of humor that I enjoy, but I can definitely see how you would like it. I will let you know if I ever watch this movie and what I think about it.
