Romy H week 5 Enola Holmes Review
This weekend I watched the movie Enola Holmes on Netflix. It was an incredible movie that was not only entertaining but inspiring. The main message I took from the movie was to take your own path in life and use your voice to create change. The movie was 2 hours long, but I was engaged the whole time. The acting was amazing; Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge played two of the main characters. This was incredible because they are both my age. It is so cool to see people your age acting and becoming insanely successful. Sometimes it makes me rethink my life because it would be awesome to be in a film at 16 years old. Besides that, every aspect of the movie was perfect. It took place in the English countryside and in London which, if you read my first blog, is somewhere I would love to live. The accents make me so happy, and the scenery in each scene was beautiful. In addition, the costumes were insane. They were old colonial-style clothes, where the women were wearing corsets and gowns. The style was beautiful, and I loved seeing the different outfits and hairstyles throughout the movie. The plot was so interesting, and I was never bored. Near the end, there are a few unexpected events where I was literally screaming at the screen. It was the perfect movie for a rainy day that was entertaining but still had an important message. The issue they were fighting was women’s rights and role in society. There was one line that really stuck out to me where a woman was telling Sherlock Holmes that he and other men don’t understand why a change was needed at the time because changing a system and world that already benefits them doesn’t make sense. She was trying to explain to him how women need to stand up for their rights and that they will do whatever it takes to make a change in their world. The movie is witty and is about using various clues while being a detective, which is super interesting. I highly recommend watching Elona Holmes! Do you want to watch it? Hi Romy, I haven't seen this movie yet, but I have been wanting to! I'm glad that you enjoyed watching it. I haven't heard many reviews of this movie, so I didn't know if it was worth watching or not, but I'll definitely try it out next time I'm looking for a movie to watch! I agree that it's insanely cool how people our age, like the main actors in the movie, are already so talented and successful. I love Millie Bobby Brown (from seeing her in Stranger Things) and also enjoy movies with mystery, so I think I'd enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI read and heard that this was a very good movie, so I may want to watch it sometime soon when I can. I know the actor Mille Bobby Brown from the show Stranger Things, a show I really like, and Henry Cavill who plays Sherlock Holmes, from the Superman movies. These are both great actors, which makes it a must watch movie to me.
