Coffee Experiment! Diana #11

If you know me you know that I LOVE coffee. I have always gone to Dunkin or Starbucks for coffee because I could never seem to find the perfect at-home recipe. Recently my dad and I took on the challenge of making coffee at home (that we actually like). My dad bought three (yes three) authentic coffee machines off amazon for a pretty great deal. Of course, we are not keeping all three but we had to test them all out to make sure we got it just right. Now the machine is not the only factor in making a good coffee, but we also had to find the perfect beans. Here's where I started my experiment. I first set up my five different coffee blends and made a shot of espresso for each one. I then labeled them and put them in the fridge to cool. After cooling, I went ahead and made five small cups of coffee for my dad and me to taste blindfolded. Finally, after all that trouble, we narrowed it down to our two favorite blends and the best machine (we returned the other two). Despite finding the best machine and coffee blend, we still have to focus on the sweetener and milk components. If you put too much or too little of something it can really throw off the whole drink. We have almost got the perfect drink, but we are still working on it. By now you probably think I'm crazy, but once we find our coffee match we will be saving a lot of money by not buying drinks anymore. Anyway, what are your coffee recipes??

  1. Hi Diana
You are quite the coffee connoisseur. When and if I drink coffee, it is either the whipped (or dalgona) coffee, or a drink from starbucks. I still don't really understand how different coffee makers can make different qualities of coffee but its fine because I don't really plan on drinking it anytime soon.

  2. Hi Diana,
This sounds like a lot of effort. I usually just put almond milk and coffee together and hope for the best. I am coming over for you to make me this it sounds really good.

  3. I love this so much. All of it!! I get flavored coffees from Bones Coffee (mail order), and I got myself a top quality coffeepot. I generally drink it either black or with a little chocolate milk in it, depending on my mood. DEFINITELY have been saving money now that I make my own coffee :-)

  4. Hi Diana, I can tell that you really love coffee. I don't really drink coffee that often but if I do its the whipped coffee. I hope you find the perfect recipe for you and your dad.

  5. Hi Dee. My mom is very cheap and I can't drive anywhere, so I don't usually go out and get coffee very often. Instead, I make it at home before school almost everyday (only online though). I have a Keurig and just make some decaf coffee and then immediately pour it into a large cup filled with ice. Then I add some oatmilk and and a splenda. It's very yummy but my stomach doesn't appreciate it.

  6. Hi Diana, I've probably had coffee twice in my entire life, and you've kind of inspired me to start looking into it. I'll need to ask you for some recommendations. Hopefully, coffee can give me an energy boost.

  7. Hi! I LOVE coffee, and this made me want to make my own coffee! Sadly, I'm extremely lazy so this is what I order from Dunkin: Hazel iced coffee in a small with 4 sugars, 4 creams, and 4 pumps of hazelnut. :)
