Living with Corona - Week 11 Coby Russo

Hello readers! As most of you know, I was diagnosed with the Coronavirus on Wednesday November 11th. So I just wanted to tell everyone what happened and what I've been up to! I started feeling symptoms late Tuesday night and thought that I would be able just to sleep it off. I thought it was just a little cold, but obviously it wasn't. When I woke up still feeling sick, I told my mom that we should go get a rapid test at FAU just to make sure I didn't have it. My mom went a little before me and thankfully tested negative. While impatiently waiting for my results I was very nervous and jittery. After refreshing the results page like 100 times, it finally came. It said, "positive". I immediately called the people I needed to tell and went straight into my room for the long and boring quarantine. For the next couple days, I had massive migraines, some loss of taste, minor fevers, congestion, and some coughing. I felt gross and couldn't move out of my bed. I've watched movies, seasons of tv shows, and played games from start to finish. I additionally gave myself a four day weekend because I felt that some stress free days were well deserved and needed. It's now day 6, and I'm feeling better. Unfortunately, I just have absolutely no energy. I know it sounds bad but just talking to people wears me out. This quarantine is very sucky. I can't wait to go out again, have social interaction, and breathe in the fresh air! I miss my "normal" life and I'm so excited just to get back to it. This whole pandemic has changed everyone's lives and it has made us realize what are the important things in our life. How has COVID-19 changed your life? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Hi Coby,
Honestly that really sucks. I have heard of many cases where people felt the same exact way you have been. I really hope you get better and your life goes back to "normal", well as normal as it can be anyways. Covid-19 has really changed my life with the traveling situation. I haven't seen any of my family in over a year. Not even my grandparents. Since both my parents were born in Israel, my whole family lives there and we are basically the only ones here. It really sucks because I miss everyone so much and it isn't normal for me not to see them for over a year now.

  2. Hi Coby, hopefully you're doing better now. Covid had changed my life in a big way, I haven't been able to hang out with my friends like I normally would, my summer was completely different than usual, and I can't travel anywhere such as New York with my family like I normally would.

  3. Hi! First off, I'm sorry you had to go through the virus. Also, sorry you got migraines, I get migraines every few weeks and they really suck. I hope it wasn't terrible. At least you're better now :)

  4. Hi Coby, i'm sorry you weren't feeling well but I hope you are all good now. Covid has changed my life so much. I haven't been able to go Israel or Colombia to see my family. It makes me really sad and I just hope that this will end soon.

  5. Hi Coby, I'm sorry you had to go through this and hopefully your feeling better now. Covid has really changed my life a lot because I'm not able to hang out with friends, visit family in New York and Israel, and I'm doing school virtually. Sometimes it's hard for me to believe any of this is even happening, but we have to keeping moving forward and stay positive so that we'll get through this.
