I am currently in quarantine, so I can’t really do anything besides sit in my house and watch tv. However, I need to do some sort of exercise, so my parents and I have played tennis a few times. Soccer is definitely my favorite sport because that is what I play competitively, but tennis is a close second. It is so much fun, and I love that it is an individual sport. Both of my parents are tennis players. My dad got a scholarship to play in college, but ultimately didn’t accept it, and my mom has been playing for a long time. The last few years, my mom hasn’t played as often, and my dad plays pickleball more than he does tennis. I play on the tennis team for school, but I rarely play after because I don’t have time, so I’m usually a little rusty. When we played on Friday, there were 3 of us, so I played on one side alone while my parents were on the other side. Obviously I lost because I was a severe disadvantage, being a weaker player, and being alone. Then, we played on Sunday, but my dad wasn’t available, so it was just my mom and I. We warmed up a little and then decided to play a match. I’m very excited to say that I beat my mom 6-1, 6-4. It was so much fun and I loved seeing how much I improve each time that I play. I can’t wait for the tennis season to start in January because it is definitely my favorite high school sport. What is your favorite sport? Have you ever played tennis?
WOW! That is amazing! I used to take tennis lessons when I was a kid. When I still couldn't get the ball over the net after months of lessons, my parents gave up. My nephew, though, will likely move down to Boca at some point to train at one of our amazing tennis programs. He is frighteningly good, and he's only 9! I enjoy watching sports but can't play, being a superklutz :)

Wow! That is very impressive. I love to play tennis as well and it is very popular in my neighborhood. I play with my mom sometimes, but just for fun. I think I would beat her, but we would have to see. Is tennis your favorite sport besides for soccer, which I know you are incredible at.
Congrats Olivia! My favorite sport to play would have to be golf; I've been playing it since I was in elementary school. I've played tennis a few times when I was younger, I just really didn't get into it.

You are very athletic which is really good. My dad also plays tennis and sometimes I go out and play with him which is really fun as well.
Hey Liv, I also really enjoy playing tennis too! Before Corona I'd play at the Bridges every week, and I plan on playing on the team this year. Since you're so athletic, I'm not that shocked you beat your mom. Personally, my favorite sport is either tennis or skiing.
