Week 9, Aly Strauss, Fake Chocolate
I love Chocolate. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate; I love them all. I could taste it by just thinking about it. Everything about chocolate I love… but there’s one thing that I hate about chocolate. I hate white chocolate.
White chocolate is considered chocolate, but I strongly disagree. It tastes fake. I can’t even explain how, but it tastes so fake, that I can’t eat it without getting a headache after. It kinda tastes like yogurt covered raisins, it just tastes artificial. It actually concerns me how much people believe that white chocolate is real chocolate. It tastes so different from regular chocolate; I just don’t understand the concept of it. It’s not even just that, I strongly dislike cookies and cream flavors as well especially the cookies and cream hershey bar. It’s basically just a white chocolate hershey bar with chocolate chips, and it just tastes fake as well. Cookies and cream flavored items are basically just a fancy version of white chocolate, and it’s just very disturbing to me. If they just like ‘bleached’ chocolate, it would be fine… but NOPE, they add all of this other stuff and turn it into a completely different concoction. And even if they did make white chocolate, why not just call it vanilla?
Hey Aly, I see where you are coming from, although I believe that white chocolate is as tasty as dark chocolate. I can barely tell the difference between the two types of chocolate, so that is why I think there is nothing wrong with white chocolate. But hey, at least we both like dark chocolate. Now I'm craving Godiva Chocolate!
ReplyDeleteHi Aly, Although I think white chocolate is very good I don't really eat it. It's basically just butter and sugar and has no nutritional value. I really like dark chocolate instead.
