Ellie Week 13: To Rewatch or Not to Rewatch?

Anyone who knows me knows I spend a lot of time watching tv shows. Since the birth of Netflix and Hulu and other streaming services like that, I haven’t watched cable since I was little. I rarely have a lot of free time but when I do, I spend most of it watching my favorite shows. I had just finished watching “Gossip Girl” right before it left Netflix at the end of December and I was rewatching “The Office” for the 3rd time with my mom and sister. Now that I’d finished those shows, I needed something new to watch. I thought about whether I could start one of the shows on my list or rewatch an old comforting show (it used to be “Friends” but that left as well). Rewatching “The Office” was fun because it’s fun looking back at old episodes when you know what was going to happen. But I also loved the excitement and suspense of “Gossip Girl” where there was so much drama and I just never knew what was going to happen next. I eventually decided to finally watch “Criminal Minds” because I’ve wanted to for years but never got around to it, and it was such a good decision. I love the anticipation of trying to find out the unsub and not knowing the endings to episodes. It does give me a bit of anxiety but Matthew Gray Gubler circa 2006 is 100% worth it. But, then today I decided to rewatch “Euphoria” during my lunch break. I LOVE “Euphoria” and there are so many hidden details and little things you wouldn’t notice the first time. Also, I’m not waiting for Rue to die every single second because I know what happens and I’m not so on edge waiting for something bad to happen. I really can’t decide if I like rewatching shows or starting new ones better, but what about you? Which do you prefer?
