This week, I have unfortunately been quarantining in my house since Tuesday because I recently came into contact with someone who tested positive for the coronavirus. Surprisingly, this is my first time having to quarantine for this reason out of nearly the whole year of dealing with this pandemic. I am very lucky to still not have gotten any symptoms, especially because the person that I know who did test positive, does currently have some symptoms.
I will finally be taking the Covid test today to actually determine if I have the virus or not. I had to wait until today because it is recommended that you wait about 5 days after you came into contact with someone who tested positive for the virus to give the virus time to develop in your body if you, unfortunately, get the disease. I have not ever gotten tested for the virus, so I am not sure what exactly it will be like to get the test done. I am hoping that it is quick and that my results come back to be negative. After a year of dealing with this pandemic, you would think that it would be easier with having to stay about for a long period of time, but it can still be pretty annoying at times. Hopefully, all goes well, and I can go back to my normal routine sometime next week. I just need to get out of the house! Have any of you had to quarantine either because you tested positive for COVID, or because you were in contact with someone who did?
Hey Hunter,
ReplyDeleteI've actually never had to fully quarantine this past year. Obviously we had the whole situation back in March/April/May where everyone was locked at home and that was awful. But for the most part I have been lucky because I try to stay pretty safe when it comes to COVID. I am glad that you haven't had symptoms though!
Hi Hunter, I hope you test cam back negative. It sucks that we can never truly know if the people we are with have the virus or not. So far, and hopefully ever, I haven't been in contact with anyone who had the virus or had to fully quarantine. Hopefully all of this will go away soon so that we don't have to worry about things like this.
