Yes, the title you are reading is correct. A daycare company gave one of their children to a complete stranger, and even worse, it is not the first time that the daycare has done so.
On January 25th, a mother named Trinity McCoggle arrived at the Orient Road Child Development Center to pick up her 7-month-old son, Adonis, where she was left very worried, upset, and angry when she was told that her baby had been accidentally given to someone assumed to be the child’s parent. Right after finding out this terrible news, Trinity called 911, and they confirmed with her that the daycare had given the baby to a stranger without any sort of proper identification. Around a month later, the daycare’s operating license was removed after the terrible incident. Currently, the boy has still not been found, and the case has recently been named an “inactive missing person’s report.”
After reading this, I was shocked that there are daycares and schools such as this one that just hand the children they are supposed to be responsible for, to complete strangers. It is terrible how unaware the workers are and how little they care to just take a few extra seconds out of their time to make sure that the young child is being picked up by their actual parent/guardian. I am hoping that all care faculty in our community will become much stricter on this matter, so things like this are never heard about again. Like me, were you shocked to learn that things like this occur, and if so, why?

Hi Hunter
ReplyDeleteThis is horrible, I think that the day care needs to be held accountable. The mother trusted the day care to take care of her baby and they betrayed her trust. It is honestly so worrisome. Now I have another hypothetical dangerous situation to keep me up about my future hypothetical children at night.
