Every time that Elon Musk goes on the Joe Rogan podcast, he always creates a buzz and the whole podcast is always a must watch. This time, they talked heavily about space exploration, and new technology that SpaceX is planning to work on, and about how Tesla is trying to come up with new technology in the car industry.
When asked about when SpaceX will offer normal space flights for normal people, Musk responded that by 2023, normal people would be able to go to space. He also said that the new rocket he is working on is part of his mission to colonize Mars. He has already created reusable rockets, but now, he is specifically working on a reusable rocket with enough thrust and cargo space to take people to Mars.
To me, this was really fascinating. I don't know if I would want to go to space just yet just because it will probably be very dangerous in the beginning for normal people, but I definitely would want to go at least once in my life if it becomes more mainstream and safe for normal people.
When talking about Tesla, Musk mentioned that he is working on a few new ideas with the company, one being a hovering Tesla Roadster, and another cool idea being about making wheels that don't require air.
With the hovering Roadster, Musk said that he only wanted it to be a few feet off of the ground so that if anything fails with the hovering mechanism, the only thing that breaks is the suspension in the car, and nobody gets harmed. Having the car hover could open the auto industry up to a whole new level, something that Elon Musk does a lot.
With the new type of wheel, Musk was responding to Joe Rogan asking him about the problem of people getting flat tires too much and how that could be prevented. He said that it would be very hard to create a good quality wheel that doesn't require air because of a lot of technical reasons, but that he is not eliminating the possibility of adding it to just one of the many features he is working on with Tesla.
One other cool thing that I found out in the podcast was that even Elon Musk finds enough time to have 6 hours of sleep when he has all of these companies to run.
Would you want to go on a SpaceX flight to space? Would you want to get a hovering Tesla Roadster? What do you think of Elon Musk and his work ethic? If you watched the podcast, what was the most interesting thing that you learned about?
Also, if you would like to watch the podcast, Joe Rogan stopped making it available on youtube which is kind of annoying, but you could find it on Spotify and listen to it in the car. It's definitely worth it.

Hi Isaac! I'd love to go to space! I've always wanted to know what space actually looks like! If people did get the opportunity to though, I'd probably wait till others went on it because I'd want to make sure that it was safe. Also with Tesla, I probably wouldn't get a hovering car, but it would definetly be cool to see. It's amazing how hard this man works and still has time to get at least 6 hrs of sleep!
