Romi Avidor Week 17 Mortuusequusphobia
Romi Avidor Week 17 Mortuusequusphobia
Lets just say it’s one word and 7 letters, ketchup. Let me just tell you that this is a real thing. It is called Mortuusequusphobia. I know I will get A LOT of hate for this but I have a serious ketchup phobia. Everyone that knows me knows that I absolutely despise ketchup with my whole heart. Ever since I was younger, I never liked ketchup. I never liked to eat it, I never liked to smell, and I never liked to look at it. I know that it is crazy because everyone always asks so how do you eat your fries? Or how do you eat chicken? The answer is easy: I simply eat it without ketchup.
This weird fear of ketchup has been with me for the longest time. I can't even hold the bottle. If my sister asks me to get it for her from the fridge I tell her no I will not touch the bottle. Of course she tells me that I am childish and that it is not that big of a deal, but to me it is. There have been a few incidents where it got on me, I know gross, and I freaked out. The second it got on me I ran straight to the sink and washed my hands. I can not have that substance and the smell on my hand. It is just gross to me. I am sorry to all the ketchup lovers, but it is just a no.
The weird thing is that I like marinara sauce, bolognese, pizza sauce, but for some reason there is something about ketchup that just nauseates me. I know this person who can eat it straight out of the bag, and that actually makes me want to throw up. Like how can you possibly do that? I would like you to take a moment and think about the fact that if you don’t shake the bottle this weird and gross liquid will come out like ew what is that. Anyway I am sorry if you like ketchup and read this, but nothing will change my mind; this is my weird phobia. Do you have a weird phobia? If so, what is it? This website tells you exactly how people who despise ketchup feel. I relate to it very much.

hahahahaha I'm sorry Romi but this article made me laugh so much. I'm not saying your phobia is ridiculous, because it's not and I accept it, but it's just so random. Like, ketchup isn't even an inherently gross thing, so I wonder what could have happened for you to hate it so much. Anyway, think of it positively, you could have ended up having much worse phobias.
ReplyDeleteHey Romi, although some people may think having a "fear" of certain foods can be weird I agree. I am not afraid of ketchup but there are a lot of foods I have just never tried and never plan on eating. I cannot eat eggs under any circumstance. I happen to have always been allergic to them but I just grew out of the allergy. No I will not be trying them lol.
ReplyDeleteHey Romi, ketchup is a yes. Its so good with french fries and hamburgers. There are food that I don't like but I wouldn't say I have a fear of them. I think you should try ketchup before you decide that you hate it and are scared of it lol. The thing is I know you so well that I know you wont try it, so i'll accept it.
