Hunter David Week 21 - The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Ep. 1 Review (No spoilers)

Just two weeks after the series finale of the first Marvel TV show, WandaVision, released on Disney Plus, we have already gotten the next show in the MCU, the Falcon and Winter Soldier. Based on the trailers and first episode that I’ve seen, this show will definitely be quite different than Wandavision, as it will have way more action and a much familiar style to the normal MCU format.

This show takes place about 6 months after the events of Avengers Endgame, and it is about the new threats that Sam and Bucky have to deal with after losing their best friend in Captain America during Endgame. The show surrounds itself with how the world is still dealing with the events after the “blip”, the new possible super-soldier group (based on the high strength in the show’s trailers and first episode) in the Flag Smashers, the return of a previous villain Zemo, a new person becoming Captain America, and so much more.

If you were more of a fan of the regular MCU style of storytelling and film, then this is the show for you. There are so many directions that the show is going, and will be taking in its six-week run, it will be very interesting to see how it will progress from week to week, and how it all connects to the wider scope of the Marvel Universe. Have any of you seen the Falcon and the Winter Soldier first episode yet, and if so, what did you think of it?
