New York governor Andrew Cuomo is under fire yet again. After trying to dismiss sexual assault allegations from eight different women, he is under fire for getting his family members exclusive covid tests when they were unavailable to the public. Many people want the governor to resign just based on the sexual assault allegations by Anna Ruch, Lindsey Boylan, Charlotte Bennett, and 5 others. Cuomo once a self-proclaimed champion of women's rights and advocate of the #Metoo movement, has admitted to these allegations as being true but on March 4th stated “I'm not going to resign.” This is quite concerning that a man in a position of power such as Andrew Cuomo can just get away with harassment such as this. It is very sad to see these 8 brave women being silenced and dismissed. Anyways, Cuomo is in another situation for allegedly getting his mother Matilda Cuomo and brother CNN anchor Chris Cuomo “illegal” COVID tests in March and April of last year. They were not high-priority in any way and this is just another example of the elite being able to get away with anything. Lastly, Andrew Cuomo is also under fire for potentially killing hundreds of elderly in New York in nursing homes during the pandemic. According to ABC news, his “administration is under investigation for its handling of nursing home deaths during the pandemic.” It seems like Cuomo is in a bit of an awful situation and should just resign but I guess we will see.
