My Hopes and Worries for Next Year - Coby Russo Week 21

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog. Honestly, I'm realizing how fast this year is going, and before we know it, we will be seniors. I really believe that we will be able to have a Shabbaton in Orlando, go on the March of the Living for two and a half weeks, and have a prom. This year has just been filled with cancellations, and I am hoping that next year will become a year filled with exciting trips and events.

As of right now, I am waiting to receive my SAT scores on March 26th. I am so nervous to get them back because I am just so over the weekly two hours worth of tutoring, stress, and added work. I just want it to be over. I also had a realization that I will be applying to colleges in the next six to eight months. Like, I am not sure where I want to go, or if I will be able to even study out of state! Realistically, I will probably end up staying at an in state school, but I just hope that my grades are good enough. I just cannot believe that in a little over a year from now, I will be living on my own somewhere that's not a ten second walk away from my mom's room. Although I'm extremely nervous to begin the process of starting the next chapter in my life, it is kind of exhilarating at the same time. What are you guys nervous or excited about? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Hi Coby. I'm also hopeful that we'll have a shabbaton and the march but anything is possible. Personally, I'm very nervous about the college application process and college in general. I'm not very independent and I agree that it will be weird being away from my parents for so long. I'm not super worried about not getting into colleges because I have good enough grades, take hard enough classes, and do enough extracurriculars. I think most schools will be test optional which is really the only thing I'd be worried about because I'm an awful test taker. I've seen lots of people on tiktok get into really hard schools like Cornell and NYU with pretty average GPAs and didn't submit their scores, which makes me feel a lot better.

  2. Hi Coby. I also have no idea where I am going in two years, or three years. I am thankfully done with my SAT so I don't have stress there, but I know that the college application will be very stressful.
