 Week 21, Aly Strauss, My Dog Almost Got Hit By A Car

As seen from the title, my dog (Mugsy) almost got hit by a car. It was March 18, on a Thursday afternoon. After a long school day, my sister and I had dinner plans with our cousin. We were about to leave and my sister and I were getting in her car. My mom (who leaves the door open unintentionally) came out to the car because she forgot to tell us something before we left. To our surprise, Mugsy ran out and my sister and I chased him. 

Now, earlier that day my mom yelled and honked at our neighbor because her pitbull did his business on our property, and the dog owner didn’t pick it up.  Something to consider is that this neighbor overall isn’t nice. Whenever I walk Mugsy I say hi and she doesn’t answer, instead she rolls her eyes. She also gets annoyed when I walk my dog near her, but I’m literally walking him on the sidewalk, so I don’t see her problem. 

So, the reason I brought our neighbor into this is because I think she tried to scare us by almost running our dog over. She lives two doors down from us with a black lexus. What do you think hit our dog? A black freaking lexus! The windows though were tinted so in between my signaling and screaming, I shouldn't see who the driver was. It’s just insane that someone in their right mind (no matter who the actual driver was) would not stop when a girl is signaling and screaming while pointing and trying to get her pug-puppy our of the road. 

Luckily, we caught him but the tire was so close to him that I can’t even consider what would have happened if Mugsy was even a centimeter closer. Thank Hashem he’s okay! Has anyone else experienced getting run away, or almost getting hit by a car?
