After the fast is over, everyone always runs to the table at 7:44pm. We all attempt to eat as much as possible because we are hungry. Sammy even told me he tried to eat as many bagels as possible because it was ruining something about his gym schedule. I don’t know. Anyways, when the fast was over for me I wasn’t that hungry instead I felt more tired and weak. When the clock finally reached 7:44, I sat at the table and started to eat. My nana made such a great meal with tons of food. All the food looked so good especially after 25 hours. If you’ve ever tasted her muffins and cookies you know. I find that after fasting, you think that you can eat much more than actually possible. I was planning to eat so much more than I did before the post-fast stomach ache came on. Honestly, the stomach ache after eating is the worst part of fasting for me. I end up eating more around 9pm because I get hungry very soon after the stomach ache disappeared. It’s just a very unnatural way of eating that goes against our bodies usual schedule. This disrupts all of our normal functions which makes us tired and moody. Anyways, I tried to focus on the new year and repenting for everything i’ve done this year instead of the food. It was a meaningful holiday and what I needed after all of the isolation/covid stuff. Although, it is pretty hard when your stomach is rumbling over the praying. Comment down below how your holiday was and if you got a stomach ache right when you broke the fast?
I completely relate. My stomach hurt so bad after I ate to break my fast. Even in the morning it was still hurting. I also couldn't sleep because I had so much sugar rushing through my veins from breaking my fast on coke and babka and other sweets. The fast itself wasn't so bad, but the aftermath was so much worse.
