Ellie Week 6: Urban Thai Review

This past weekend, I got dinner from a new Thai place in Boca. It’s called All $10 Tic by Urban Thai and Sushi and it’s on Hillsboro. Here are my thoughts on this establishment. When it says all $10, they don’t really mean it. A lot of things were $10, but not everything. I will say though, the prices of food at this place are much lower than somewhere like Rise or Lemongrass, so I forgive them. We got takeout so I didn’t see the actual store, but my dad said the lady working there was very sweet and thankful that we tried her food, so she gave us free thai donuts! We got miso soup, spring rolls, some kind of curry, a rainbow roll sushi, chicken pad thai, and honey garlic chicken. Personally, the garlic honey chicken, thai donuts, and sushi were DELICIOUS! The chicken was crispy and flavorful, the sushi was fresh and not too fishy, and the donuts were super soft and had an icing dip with it that was amazing. The only thing about the sushi that wasn’t the best was that the rolls were just a little too big and there were only 6, instead of usually 8 or 12. To be honest, I’d rather have more rolls that are smaller than fewer big ones. But don’t get me wrong, I still shoved that giant roll in my mouth and ate it in one bite happily. In my opinion, the pad thai was good, but not amazing. If I wanted pad thai I’d probably go somewhere like Lemongrass or Rise. Same with the spring rolls, good, but wouldn’t order again. My parents really loved the curry, I forget what it was called, but the flavor was weird and it was too spicy for me. All in all, it was a great meal and we even called the lady back to tell her how much we liked it. She was soooo grateful and appreciative and we’ll definitely be going back soon. Do you think you’ll be trying this new thai place?

  1. Hey Ellie,
That sounds good but honestly I don't think I can abandon rise sushi. It's definetly my favorite when it comes to that type of food.
