Hello everyone! Welcome back to another fabulous blog by the one and only, Coby Russo. Today I wanted to write about the popular Netflix TV show, The Umbrella Academy. Starring Aidan Gallagher (Five), the series is about time and saving the world. PSA: A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT THE SHOW SO DON'T KEEP READING IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT AND WANT TO. In the late 1900's, women around the world became pregnant and went into labor on the same exact day. These children were born with different powers. Seven of these children were adopted and brought into the Umbrella Academy. They grew up in an intense and unfavorable environment. As they got older, Five got stuck in the future, Ben died, and the rest of the siblings went their own separate ways. When their father mysteriously passes away, everyone comes back to the academy, and Five finds a way to return from the future in his 13 year old body. He comes back and explains that the apocalypse is near and they need to find a way to stop it. Little did they know, the reason of the apocalypse was right in front of them (wink, wink). The first season is all about trying to find a way to stop the end of the world while an organization named The Commission tries to hunt down Five and kill him so he doesn't mess up the timeline. I won't say too much about the second season, but it's REALLY good. This action pack tv show always leaves you on a good cliffhanger, and it makes you feel the need to watch the next episode. I recommend watching this when you have time to binge. WE LOVE NEW SHOWS!!! So, do you guys think it's worth watching?

I haven't watched it Coby, but your version of the preview sounds really interesting. It sounds like a drama/thriller and while I'm normally not super interested in those types of shows, this one seems intriguing. I have to say though, the whole thing about a timeline and someone being in the body of their younger version, etc. I don't know, all that just seems a bit confusing, but I think if I watch it I'll understand.
ReplyDeleteHey Coby, I have heard a lot about this show but don't know if it is really my style. I am definately interested in finding a new show to watch so maybe I will check it out. I am a little confused on what this is about, but I guess I will figure it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
