Week 7, Aly Strauss, Car Catastrophe
On a Monday afternoon, school just ended and it was pouring outside. I had to wait two hours outside because my mom didn’t finish school till four, and I finished at two. Usually, it’s no trouble to wait outside, but it was pouring out and I remembered that I had my mom’s car keys in my bag. Stupidly, I never asked her, but I decided to wait in her car till she was done. Everything was fine and everything was working properly.
Then, my mom was finally done and came to the car. She clicked the start button and that’s when we realized that the car wouldn’t start. I (obviously) was blamed, and my mom kept saying that I left the light on. Now let me tell you that THAT IS NOT TRUE AT ALL!!!!! I would NEVER EVER leave a light in the car on, and there is no way that I did this.
Eventually after two hours a nice security worker helped us start the car by popping the hood. Even though the car was fixed, my mom till this day won’t let me stay in the car, and I NEVER LEFT THE LIGHT ON. What do you think about this?
PS: this all happened last week aka a day in October

ReplyDeleteAly I think you left the light on. I've been down that road with 3 siblings in the car and I still get blamed. Stuff happens and there are car malfunctions sure, but I gotta side with your mom on this one.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds super frustrating. Although there is no way to truly know what happened, hopefully your mom will trust you later on to stay in the car. Hopefully you find another solution that works for both of you because sitting outside in the heat or rain does not sound fun.
