This week at school we are having no homework week. When they first announced this, I wondered if all the teachers would actually listen to this and not give us homework. It has only been two days, but so far we haven't gotten homework. I realized how much stress has been lifted off of me knowing that I don't have work to do. Every week I'm stressed and piled up with a ton of work. I always think to myself, “Maybe it's just this week I'm having a lot of work, next week will be better”, but it honestly has been the same every week. I'm not sure if teachers realize how these big amounts of homework we get really affect our mental health. This is why I think this week was a great idea. I'm not sure why they chose this week specifically, but I'll take it. Personally, I think that this shouldn't be a one-time thing and should happen more often. I know that it's not possible to do this every week so Maybe like every 3 weeks, they could give us a week off? I see how much better I'm feeling this week compared to others and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. I think if the school was more open to doing this more often, students would really appreciate it. This is the only week where I feel like I can actually relax or have time to do something. During class, I don't have to stress about other work I have due and I can just focus on the class at the moment. This is how I feel, but I'm curious to hear what other people think.
What are your thoughts?

I completely agree. I believe that we need more stress free weeks like this week. Lately, we've been getting overloaded with work and stress. Let's make a change!
ReplyDeleteHi! I totally agree. This week I felt like weights were lifted off of my shoulders (literally because I'm always hunched over lol). Especially because midterms are coming up, I've been very stressed.Changes can make us better mentally :)
