On January 6th, 2021, the US Capitol in Washington D.C. was stormed by a mob of Trump supporters, which resulted in countless injuries and five deaths. Initially, the mob was able to break through police parameters outside of the Capitol, and were able to enter, making the inside of the capitol to go on lockdown with dozens of members of Congress inside. Once partially inside, the rioters began vandalizing and destroying anything they could get ahold of. For example, multiple people stormed into Nancy Pelosi's office and broke her possessions, and took pictures at her desk. The rioters got inevitably violent and began harming officers and media people. Early in the attack, the chambers of the Senate and House of Representatives were evacuated, and when the rioters eventually found their way to the empty senate chamber, they climbed up onto the chair and began yelling and destroying whatever they could find. These acts of terrorism were not only promoted by the likes of Donald Trump, Donald Trumo Jr., and Rudy Guiliani before the fact, but even after the riots ended due to the curfew, the names aforementioned did not condemn these attacks. Shameful.
Unfortunately, these attacks will go down in American history as some of the most shameful and embarrassing moments in the history of this country. What did you think about the acts of terrorism performed by the Trump supporters at the Capitol?
