Ethan- Week 16- Tom Brady is the GOAT, No Question About it

Is there any debate anymore of whether he is the best? Tom Brady is the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) of Football. He has won more championships than any player in the 101-year history of the NFL. He currently holds the record of seven out of ten Super Bowls won, and he will most definitely continue to get more. This past Sunday in Superbowl 55 he won MVP of the game after an absolute shutout against the Kansas City Chiefs, where he threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns. Just to prove that Tom Brady is the best football player ever because of his insane skill and hard work and not just because he has the best coaches or teammates, he left the patriots after turning them into a winning team and winning six out of nine super bowls there and then went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he turned that team into a winning team within his first season he arrived, giving them their first Super Bowl since their 2002-03 season. Whatever team Tom Brady enters he automatically turns them into a winning team due to his leadership skills, his positive attitude, his ability as a quarterback, his hard work, and his teamwork skills. Tom Brady is a perfect example that age is just a number as he is forty-three years old, an age where most professional athletes in any sport have already retired, and he continues to play like he is a young star in his prime. Sports critics such as Max Kellerman who spoke about how Tom Brady was going to fall off a cliff for years have finally admitted that they were wrong and that Tom Brady has never looked better. He cannot stop winning, he is running out of fingers to put all his championship rings on, and he will just keep coming for more. Here are some cool stats about Tom Brady that show his experience, his abilities, and explain why he is the best to ever play the game. This was Tom Brady’s 20th NFL season and he has already been in ten super bowls (a 50% showing rate), which means that Tom Brady has a higher percentage chance of making the Super Bowl than Stephan Curry has of making a three-point shot (Curry has a 43% rate of success). No other quarterback in the past has even come close to Brady’s number of Super Bowl appearances and he has started in more Super Bowls than Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers combined (all incredible quarterbacks). What’s amazing about Tom Brady is that he was a 199th overall 6th round pick, he had a terrible combine performance where he was marked as slow, skinny, can’t throw the ball very well, and an overall average, not great player, and no one really believed in him, but he had a strong self-belief that he was special, he never gave up, and through hard work and persistence he became the greatest player to play the game. While he is not the most athletic or ripped player, he has other attributes that make him the greatest. He is incredibly competitive, he has a winning mentality, he is a positive influence on his teammates, he can lead very well and effectively, he has good vision, he has good technical skills with the ball, and he produces stats like no other quarterback. A great and memorable moment was when he and Gronk, his old teammate from the Patriots, were able to be in and win another Super Bowl together, but now for the Bucks. In a post-Super Bowl interview both Gronk and Brady said they are coming back for more and best believe that they will keep winning. Finally, I know Dan was at the game, so how cool was it Dan, and was anyone else in the class there? Also, does anyone disagree with me and think Tom Brady is not the GOAT?

  1. Hey Ethan, my friends would tell you I'm always happy to engage in a sports debate. Issue is, there is no debate to be had on this topic! Tom is the GOAT of football. He leads statistically in too many categories. He's won too many big games and has too many clutch moments for there to be an argument. There will never be a player that holds the same legacy as Brady.
