A few days ago I watched the show Ginny and Georgia on Netflix. I kept seeing it pop up on tik tok and heard from friends that it was a really good show. I started it on Wednesday night and finished the 10 episodes on Thursday. I was hooked and just binged watched it. The show is about A fifteen-year-old, Ginny, and her thirty-year-old mother, Georgia Miller. They move to New England to have a new start. Ginny starts going to a new school and finds her group of friends there. She becomes best friends with her neighbor Maxine, who has a brother she finds very attractive named Marcus. Even though she's attracted to Marcus, she starts dating a popular boy from school, Hunter. I don't want to spoil, but you can probably guess that drama goes on with this situation. Along with that, Ginny starts finding out about Georgia's pasts that she's never heard of before. We see throughout the show that her mother is very protective and does anything to keep her children safe. Once you hear about what she went through, you understand why. I thought this show was so good and kept you wanting to watch after each episode. The only thing I didn't like was the way it ended. It didn't leave me happy and kind of just left me hanging. I wish there were more episodes and seasons because 10 episodes it just too short. Because it's so new, there's no confirmation for a second season to come out, so that sucks. I recommend this show if you like a mix of romance and mystery. Also if you have any show suggestions, let me know.
Have any of you watched this show? Did you like it?

Hi Maya,
ReplyDeleteAs you know I watched the show. I hate how it is only 10 episodes because I was able to finish it in like two days. I love Marcus and Ginny. I did not like Hunter. He was just too much. I do not know if I like Georgia or not. She is definitely a queen but I do see how she seems to ruin her kids lives. Anyway, I do hope a second season comes out.
Similar to you, I started Ginny and Georgia on a Friday and finished within 24 hours. 100% recommend. You're review definitely describes the show well, and I agree that the episodes are conducive to one another, feeding into the addiction. I especially liked the perspective we got into Georgia's childhood. It helped us understand why the family was in that circumstance. The relationship drama was also great, and I don't usually enjoy those types of shows. Stand Ginny and Marcus!
