New information has come out on the famous Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, and thankfully it's good news. The Israeli Ministry of Health along with Pfizer and BioNTech announced that after a study done with real-world evidence, the Pfizer COVID vaccine blocks 95% of asymptomatic infections. This is great news, as before, everyone knew that the vaccine's purpose, no matter which one you take, is to block symptomatic covid, but it wasn't nearly as protective against an asymptomatic case. For me personally, I have a couple thoughts now that I know this information. For one, I definitely want the Pfizer vaccine. I think it's so awesome that it blocks almost all forms of asymptomatic covid, which ultimately means that you can't have covid at all period. I also think that it's really cool that this happened in Israel and that Israel sciences are helping and educating people around the world every day. Ultimately I think that in a year or so, all the vaccines will be pretty much the same and they will all be as preventative as the other, but for right now it looks like Pfizer is in the lead.
Have you gotten vaccinated? Do you want to get vaccinated? If you haven't yet, is there a specific one you want?
Hi Dan
ReplyDeleteI would also really like the Pfizer vaccine if I can get it, but in the end I will take the one that I'm offered. People can hope for a specific vaccine, but if they turn down other ones they could just not get the chance to get any at all. It just increases the amount of time that we can reach heard immunity in.
